We're seeking a Head of Engineering to lead our technical efforts and drive our product development forward. If you're passionate about shaping the future of go-to-market technology with applied AI, we want you on our team!
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and mentor a team of Ruby on Rails developers (4 in total) and one React developer
- Work closely with the CTO to shape the technical strategy and its execution
- Work closely with the CTO and CEO to shape the roadmap and lead its execution
- Collaborate with product and business teams to align tech efforts with company goals
- Oversee system architecture, ensuring scalability and performance
- Drive innovation, especially in AI integration and application
- Establish and maintain engineering best practices and processes
- Manage technical debt and prioritize refactoring efforts
- Lead hiring efforts to grow the engineering team
- Ensure security and compliance standards are met, eventually leading us to SOC-2 compliance
- Provide regular updates to leadership on technical progress and challenges
- Plan and oversee the tech budget
Desired Experience:
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Strong background in web development, preferably with Ruby on Rails
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Track record of successfully delivering SaaS products
- Experience with modern front-end technologies (React, Hotwire Turbo)
- Familiarity with AI/ML technologies, specifically the Claude and OpenAI API
- Experience in scaling applications and managing infrastructure (we’re running on Fly.io)
- Strong understanding of database systems, particularly PostgreSQL
- Experience in agile methodologies and continuous delivery practices
- Experience setting an upbeat development culture that ships

Benefits:
- Competitive Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 base salary (experience dependent)
